I have been in the process of reviewing my old addons, and i almost completely forgot about this one, the base of your work :)
Just dug into the old BA Thread here https://blenderartists.org/t/addon-blender-git-versioning/616871/7 and found your fork.
It looks great from the first glance 👍 I would need to test it as well in depth.
But here is my suggestion... maybe it would be clever to post this addon on https://extensions.blender.org/ so it will be included in the official blender addon bundling system.
I cant do this anymore since you have made a fork, i cant post your work as mine lol.
But it would be very nice if you might consider posting your fork as new blender extension, for review.
