Feature suggestion: Spotify-like view for music

I'd like to implement a spotify-like view for music, where artists and playlists appear on the left, and the currently selected artist/playlist appears on the right.
Currently, these are two separate pages, so the idea is to create a single page with a split-view.
This would only show on screen if the horizontal space allows for it, otherwise it would default back to separate views.

• Should this be enabled or disabled by default?
• Any comments on this?
• Any suggestions for how it can be even better?
