Can't finish sign-in on mobile

After entering account credentials and getting "Return to finish", it's impossible to return to Obsidian (self-hosted instance).

Could you clarify what you mean by "impossible to return to Obsidian"?

Normally, after signing in, switching back to the Obsidian app should complete the login. What happens when you try to go back to Obsidian?

Thanks for the video. I noticed the self-host URL is set to localhost. Is there a reason you're using localhost there?

Also, how did you self-host synch? Did you deploy it with cloudflare or are you using another setup?

i've noticed when you're using the synchrun api your default browser opens for authentication, but for self-hosted servers it happens inside obsidian

I'll test this on a physical Android device, although it may take a little while.

This seems to occur when using localhost. As a first workaround, using a tailscale or cloudflare tunnel url instead of localhost should help. I'll report back after testing.

don't know why but interestingly enough this doesn't happen on desktop
the link opens inside a browser

I couldn't find a reliable way to open localhost in the external browser, so in the latest version localhost now redirects through api.synch.run/redirect. This should open it in the external browser.
