Support for variations of optical size / uppercase height / lowercase height

Currently the contrast of uppercase and lowercase heights is extremely low compared to many other typefaces. It's good for the readability of small text — i.e. it has larger x-height when the uppercase height is fixed. However it looks a bit ponderous for large text.

Would there be support for adjusting optical size, uppercase height or lowercase height (any one is OK) in the future?
