Info request on next release

Dear UUID maintainers,

Thank you for the library and its maintenance. Can you please explain what's the release process for this repository? I see the latest change from about 3 months ago (PR #172) has made its way to master via PR #157 (release 1.7.0), but when can we see it published as a valid library version? The current one available (1.6.0) is about more than a year old.

Appreciate any light you can shed on this and make myself available in case there's anything I can do to help publish it.

Closing the issue as I don't see much activity in this repo. I migrated to https://github.com/gofrs/uuid so I am pasting it here in case it's useful to anyone seeing this.
