The way the dictionary is written precludes the possibility of having more than one example for a given entry.

If there is more than one example then there will have to be some way to align them between languages. :(

Yes, that's the limitation. Perhaps a way around this would be something like the following:

      <ex>...</ex>
   </exs>

Perhaps even without the exses.
