On MacOS ~ is not parsed correctly when selecting an installation directory #1649

Describe the bug
When install.command asks for an install directory and you type in something with a ~ say ~/Applications it will install it to /Users/USERNAME/~/Applications instead of /Users/USERNAME/Applications

To Reproduce

  1. Run install.command
  2. Continue with the prompts until you encounter Provide the installation folder [default: dataloader] :
  3. Enter any relative path including ~

Expected behavior
instead of creating a folder called ~ it should use ~ as the user's home directory
