Unable to install on macOS Sonoma (Apple M1)

It seems that PyQT 5 isn't really supported under macOS Sonoma with an Apple m1 processor. Is it at all possible to migrate this to PyQT 6 (which is)?

This dependency makes installation via pip fail.

I am on Sonoma 14.6.1 with Python 3.13.1. Install hangs with the following:

$ pip install streamside
Collecting streamside
  Using cached streamside-0.5-py3-none-any.whl.metadata (1.6 kB)
Collecting PyQt5==5.15.4 (from streamside)
  Using cached PyQt5-5.15.4.tar.gz (3.3 MB)
  Installing build dependencies ... done
  Getting requirements to build wheel ... done
  Preparing metadata (pyproject.toml) ... -

I can install PyQt5-5.15.11 but this does not meet the package requirement.

I used the following workaround:

• In setup.py, edit PyQt5==5.15.4 to specify the latest version
• Run: pip install -e /path/to/StreamSide
• To start the annotator: instead of python streamside.annotator -a ANNOTATOR_ID & pass the -m flag: python -m streamside.annotator -a ANNOTATOR_ID &
