Signed file verification

Is it possible to verify against the public cert the signed file with the jsign tool?
Or to verify files with Microsoft Code Signing method on Linux?

osslsigncode verify -in /path/to/my_program.exe

Tested on macOS and Linux. In my case, using a trusted cert / signature returns 0. Unsigned files or self-signed files returns 1.
