Proposal: proactively offer IAC WILL NAWS / WILL TERMINAL-TYPE / DO SGA on connect so passive classic BBSes learn the window size and terminal type; send the configured TERMINAL-TYPE without force-uppercasing (uppercasing breaks case-sensitive terminfo lookups for ncurses doors); support RFC 1091 type-list cycling; and answer NEW-ENVIRON with USER so modernbbs can pre-fill the telnet login from the address-book username.
