Issue type
User interface
Device
Poco x6 (garnet)
crDroid version
crDroid 12
Exact version / Build date
12.9 28.04.2026
Bug description
The in-display fingerprint sensor is inactive during Always On Display (AOD). A padlock icon is shown instead of the fingerprint indicator. The sensor only initializes and becomes functional after the device is woken up via the physical power button
Steps to reproduce
Enable Always On Display and verify that fingerprint unlock works normally on the lock screen.
Lock the device and let it enter AOD mode.
Observe the UI: A padlock icon is visible at the bottom, and the fingerprint sensor does not react to touch.
Press the Power Button to wake the screen.
Observe the UI again: The padlock icon changes to the fingerprint icon, and biometric unlocking starts working immediately.
Relevant log (logcat/build log)
Screenshots or videos
No response
Solution
The fingerprint sensor does not respond (no optical light-up or haptic feedback) while AOD is active. It only becomes functional after the display is fully woken up by the power button.
Expected Behavior:
The sensor should remain active or wake up upon touch during AOD, allowing for seamless biometric unlocking without physical button interaction.
