Custom variables in CLI prompt

I'd like to clarify how I can extend variables in the CLI prompt?
We want to add a new variable reflecting the device status in an HA pair; it could be active or standby.
It would be more logical for us to store this status in a variable and then translate it into the CLI prompt.
Unfortunately, the current variables are strictly fixed.

Yes, the generic format string is not flexible in this respect.
But there is an explicit prompt callback which one could use for general-purpose, see https://github.com/clicon/clixon/blob/74713ee282a79951ddceccdb83e739e1843438e5/lib/clixon/clixon_plugin.h#L413
For some reason it is not documented in the user-guide.
Can you please try this out and report if this OK?
If so I will add it to the UG.
