Use case

We would like to be able to give the user a notification count on the app icon based on the unread notifications in our system

Idea

Give the ability to change the badge on the app icon using the Natively SDK

Same here. I would like the badge to persist after the app is opened to show the unread notifications count - just like WhatsApp and loads of other apps. At the moment, the badge disappears as soon as the app is opened. The only way to disable this via info.plist, to which Natively does not provide access.
