FR: Add R2 Support

R2 seems like not following your endpoints

Since none of the maintainers of this have an R2... That would be extremely difficult to RE, test and deliver (speaking for myself at least).

I'm sure the BT protocol is completely different for R2 than R1, but still their binary format. The web API we scrap from I'm sure also changed at least slightly given the make and features if R2 differ from R1 vehicles (similar to T vs S or even gen1 to gen2).

If an R2 owner provides the right RE data sets for us to support I'm sure it will be possible. Remember this is maintained by a group of volunteer-based Rivian owners that have a passion for tech, Rivians, and not by Rivian staff or insiders.

What version of the code are you currently using?

Also, I assume you are referring to an actual R2 vs. a Gen 2 (2024+ refreshed R1)?

If you are working with a Gen 2 vehicle, Rivian moved live vehicle telemetry to their new Parallax (Protobuf over WebSocket) stream. Support for that was added in the v2.1.0b0 pre-release (and staged in PR #201 / #202).

If you are on v2.1.0b0 or indeed testing with an R2, could you share the specific endpoints/methods you're calling and any error output you are seeing?

Just picked up my R2 today, I'm happy to submit whatever is needed and test. Just tell me what to do and I will send it over 😃
