The exact same thing is happening with this script. I downloaded my X archive and used Archive Mode with the tweets.js file. The script successfully started deleting the tweets, and eventually everything disappeared from my profile. However, a few days later, all of the deleted tweets reappeared.
So it seems that the tweets are being deleted successfully at first, but somehow they are restored after a few days.
