Hi, sorry for all the issues today but I just wanted to clear something up and maybe avoid confusion for other users in future.
I tried adding a GTM container ID into the Google tab of this addon but it just doesn't pass validation with Google's Tag Assistant browser extension. So I am instead adding my GTag code to the 'Necessary section' of Alt Cookies, which works fine with Tag Assistant.
So my question is, what is the Google section for if not for GTag containers? I can see this code is output when using the Google section:
<script async src="https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=GTM-XXXXXXX"/></script>
but this is not enough for Tag Assistant.
I asked Gemini about this and it says that the single line format above is not compatible with Google Tag Manager containers. It should only be used for single tags.
Thanks!
