Request for permission to create a Chinese translation as a separate open-source project #3

Description

@simplex86

Hi @alejandrobalderas,

First of all, thank you for creating this incredible resource. "Claude Code from Source" is an outstanding piece of technical writing — the depth of analysis, the clarity of the narrative, and the practical "Apply This" sections make it an invaluable reference for anyone building agentic systems. I've learned a great deal from it.

I'm writing to ask for your permission to translate the book into Chinese and publish it as a new open-source project. Here's what I have in mind:

  • Scope: Translate all 18 chapters, Mermaid diagrams, and the web app into Chinese, keeping the structure and technical accuracy intact.
  • Attribution: The new project would clearly credit you as the original author and link back to this repository.
  • License: I'd like to publish the translation under an open license (e.g., CC BY-SA 4.0 or whatever you prefer), but I want to respect your wishes on this.
  • No commercial use: The translation would be freely available for educational purposes only.

I noticed the repository doesn't currently have a license file, so I wanted to be transparent and ask for your explicit permission before proceeding. I fully understand if you'd prefer not to allow this, or if you have specific conditions — I'm happy to work within whatever guidelines you'd like to set.

Thank you again for your time and for sharing this work with the community. It's genuinely appreciated.

Best regards
