There is a round-about way of getting one's Covid certificate into the Apple Wallet. In the App Store on the iPhone search for and install the Green Pass EU app. In the app import your certificate, e.g. by scanning its QR code. Tap on the QR code displayed in the app for your certificate. That reveals the certificate details and an option to add the certificate to the Apple Wallet. Once it's in the Wallet on the iPhone, it's in the Wallet of any Watch connected to it. The QR code of the pass in the Watch's Wallet verifies in the Covid Check app.

Note that the Green Pass app includes the option to validate an arbitrary pass according to national rules, presently configurable for Austria or Germany (configuring for EU causes no validation to be applied).
