Coolscan 5000 - this unit never scans multi-line, so --superfine changes nothing

The Coolscan 5000 utilizes a faster dual-row CCD line sensor, while the Coolscan V uses a standard single-row linear CCD.

Currently, nkscan is scaning using 2 CCD lines.

Although I rarely use a "fine" mode, I believe the 5000 is capable of scanning using just 1 CCD line. At least Vuescan has a fine mode that takes longer to scan a frame.

Ooo interesting. I did not know Vuescan has a fine setting, Nikon Scan does not for this model afaik.

Ok I'll put some tests together to check. Mainly, I think we need to guess a little bit about the structure of the image data as it comes off the scanner. If possible, a USB dumb from VueScan in fine mode would be useful, but we can hack something together here if not.

I knew LS-5000 as 3 lines. Are you sure? Nothing changes for LS-50 (single-line) anyway.

Indeed there are two lines on the 5000, I just didn't know if you could switch to single line mode. I can wire that up if someone wants to check?
