[BUG] Icon Cropping & Background on Home (Android 17)

• Icons were as before after upgrading to Android 17, but now when I try to add new (browser shortcut) icons to my Home screen, the cropping is mangled and the background is black.
• It affects both Favicon and Custom icons.
• I've tried hard to fix this with Home screen settings but without success.

Found partial work-around: this new shortcut created from scratch (deleting the old) works properly;

But others do not, and have not found a work-around for black backgrounds.

UPDATE

1. I've come to the conclusion that the black icon background for transparent areas is an Android 17 bug for which this app is not responsible. The obvious work-around is to create Custom icons with white in the transparent areas (as below), although it would be nice if the app had an option to do that.
2. The remaining issue is how icons for prior shortcuts got mangled by the Android 17 update. The work-around is to create new shortcuts as desired.

So this issue is at most Low Priority, and I would have no objection to it being Closed.

Hi, thanks for the issue. I haven't had the time yet to look into this in detail, but I think this is actually not an issue with Android 17, but rather due to recent changes I made to how the shortcut icons are generated. The background color is now determined differently, so it is expected that some icons now use black instead of white as before. I'm considering adding a color picker so that the color can be chosen per icon, which should fix this particular problem. The scaling of the icons might be due to the fact that shortcut icons derived from favicon are often of significantly lower resulting, which might lead to different behavior when it comes to scaling and cropping. I'll have to check that when I get around to it.
