Videos stop playing until restart if corrupt file is encountered #5

@UserUnknownFactor

Description

@UserUnknownFactor

It happens like this:

  1. Double-click a corrupted video file.
  2. It won't play.
  3. The next videos won't play either until the application is restarted.

Reason: The WPF video control crashes internally, and the only way to restore its normal state is to restart the app from scratch. However, it's unlikely that MS will ever fix it.

Possible solution: Use a different video player control altogether?
