For various methods of compliance with the NLFS FHA, we need an alerting mechanism. This should include visual-only alerts and aural + visual alerts.
Proposed Solution
Create a class for alerts. This class should have a method to trigger the alert that posts text content to a banner and triggers the audio alert if an audio file is specified. The class should also specify the priority level (warning, caution, advisory, status). In testing, show the result of an alert being triggered.
Additional Notes
The design for this alerting system is inspired by Crew Alerting Systems (CAS) and Engine Indication Systems (EIS) often seen in aviation.
