Ctrl clicking on a link causes the site to be opened twice

Describe the bug
Ctrl clicking on a link to a website blocked by the extension will open the site in a new tab, but will also open the website in the current tab, leading to the site being opened twice.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Find a link to a website blocked by the extension
2. Ctrl click on the link

Expected behavior
The website opens in a new tab with the extension's popup
