As someone who does research in multiscale modeling, one thing that has always bugged me about Julia is how close it's been to UCHC's Vivarium's capabilities. I'm clearly not the only one who feels such a way, which is evident thru the development of Bipartite Graphs in MTK, and the newly developed Mermaid.jl . In my eyes, this seems like an issue of fragmented development. I wanted to start this thread to understand what a perfect ProcessBiGraph implementation in MTK.jl would look like, plus how integrated it should be. If any contributors have any thoughts on how to go about this as a feature branch, I'd love all the advice I could get. With software like Dagger.jl, JuliaGPU, and the CatLab ecosystem, I do think this it's entirely feasible to beat the polish, performance, and dev experience of Vivarium in this regard.
