Why

Prove a 2014 caster's spell experience end to end and tick #1517's box on #1372's gate list.

Scope

• e2e (Playwright): create a 2014 caster (e.g. Wizard and Cleric — one known-ish/one prepared), assert the creation picker offers only the 2014 list; level up and assert the learn step offers only 2014 spells with PHB'14 text.
• Assert GET /api/spells?edition=EDITION_2014 vs EDITION_2024 return the expected per-edition lists (2024 stays the curated 109; 2014 is the full PHB'14 breadth).
• Tick the Epic: 2014 spell catalog — Spell.classes is un-editioned 2024 content, so a 2014 Bard is offered the 2024 Bard list #1517 tracker; confirm the spell gate on Re-enable the 2014 edition at creation once its content ships (reverses #1371) #1372 is satisfiable. This does NOT flip Re-enable the 2014 edition at creation once its content ships (reverses #1371) #1372 — that is the owner's separate issue once all five 2014 gates (feats, fighting styles, exhaustion, caster model, Monk, spells) are met.

Acceptance criteria

• Green e2e walkthrough for a 2014 caster (creation + level-up), offering only 2014 spells.
• Epic: 2014 spell catalog — Spell.classes is un-editioned 2024 content, so a 2014 Bard is offered the 2024 Bard list #1517 fully checked; Re-enable the 2014 edition at creation once its content ships (reverses #1371) #1372's spell blocker resolved (not the flip itself).
