That’s odd. Has birdsync successfully uploaded any other sounds or photos? Does this operation succeed if you retry? I wonder whether you have something else running that's trying to index all your mp3 files.

It did successfully upload one photo observation, common ostrich. I assume it would have worked on more of them, but the tinamou was the second one due to taxonomic order.

I tried it again with the same result, this time using the -verifiable and -fuzzy flags and it had the same result.

I tried closing any other potential running application but maybe I missed one. I'll try again after work and give you an update.

This is such a great project and I really appreciate all the time and effort you put into it! Should be a great benefit to iNatters and eBirders everywhere.

Try removing 630176652 from your CSV file. I wonder whether the issue is specific to that file or specific to mp3 files. I'm interested to know whether this happens for any other files or for non-mp3 files.

Are you running on Windows? It's also possible this is a Windows-specific issue.

Now it does not upload even the first observation, and gives the below:

That's very odd. Somehow your eBird CSV file has a different date format than what I get when I download my own eBird observations. Would it be possible to attach some of your CSV rows? Just a few rows is fine. Feel free to remove/obfuscate any private data; I'm just looking to understand the data format.

(I'm traveling today but will try to investigate further this weekend.)

I tried redownloading my eBird data, and instead it gives this error:

I downloaded your data then deleted the content for privacy reasons (your eBird data includes locations, which is private user data). I'll use this for testing, thanks!

OK, the date and time parsing should work now (you'll need to update your copy of birdsync using go install github.com/Sajmani/birdsync@latest). We still need to figure out the issue with the photo and sound uploads. I'd like to know whether you see that issue only with mp3 uploads or also with photo uploads. I have no idea what the "Incorrect function" error means. I suspect this might be a Windows-specific issue (I'm on a Mac).

For what it's worth, the filename C:\Users\tates\Downloads\ebird_1757602033437 looks odd. I would have expected a file named MyEbirdData.csv. By chance did you provide the zip file name instead?
