MechWarrior 4 Vengeance 2.0 requires deleting drvmgt.dll still

I've been playing Vengeance with the 2.0 patch and NoCD executable because SafeDiscShim hasn't worked with it, even after deleting the dll file. After installing the recent update, I renamed the old executable to mw4,exe, and the nocd one to mw4nocd.exe, vut to no avail. However after re-deleting the drvmgt.dll file (which I restored just in case I would need it later) it worked properly, so you definitely fixed something in that regard!

Anything in specific that MW4.exe is doing that might be conflicting with the drvmgt work around? I also plan to finally update the game to 3.0 once this is settled.

Can you check what name the .tmp file (in %TEMP% IIRC) has?

The tmp file that should be the actual game executable once safedisc has decrypted it.
As I said it should be in your tmp folder? Or maybe even in the list of processes you can see in the task manager, once you start the game.

So will it show up in the temp folder as MW4.TMP or MW4.EXE?

It should be some garbled mix of letters and numbers dot tmp. Indeed I'm asking you to find out such name.

Like, how else am I supposed to figure out which tmp file is the right one 😭
