In beginner.yaml lines 24-30, I changed the original:

algorithms:
  - name: "pathlinker"
    pathlinker:
      include: true
    params:
      run1:
        k: 1

to:

algorithms:
  - name: "pathlinker"
    include: true
    runs:
      run1:
        k: 1

In the intermediate section of the tutorial, I changed the file spras\config\algorithm.py and added a few lines of code to help it run.
Before

def python_evalish_coerce(value: Any) -> Any:
    if not isinstance(value, str):
        return value

After

def python_evalish_coerce(value: Any) -> Any:
       if not isinstance(value, str):
        return value
    try: 
        return ast.literal_eval(value)
    except (ValueError, SyntaxError):
        return value

The exact error message is here:
1 validation error for RawConfig algorithms.1.omicsintegrator1.runs.run1.g Value error, This argument "1e-3" was interpreted as a non-function-calling string: it should be a function call (e.g. range(100, 201, 50)), or an int or a float. [type=value_error, input_value='1e-3', input_type=str]

I opened #484 to track the error @Sabah-hoq encountered and #488 to fix it.

I had the same problem that Iris encountered and running the intermediate.yaml file, I had an error message for exponents, so I just commented out #g: 1e-3
