Kepler version: v1.6 (revision string confirmed in console log) Client: v14 Shockwave client, with the community SnowStorm patch applied
(hh_gamesys_patch.cct + cast.entry line in external_variables.txt, as per
README_SnowStorm.txt)
Description:
During an active SnowStorm match, all player avatars intermittently and
simultaneously disappear from the arena for roughly 1-2 seconds, then
reappear. This happens repeatedly throughout the match, not tied to any
specific player action (movement, throwing, being hit). Both/all players
in the room disappear at the same time, which suggests it's tied to some
kind of periodic full state resync rather than a per-player animation
state.
Gameplay itself (scoring, hit detection, stun, winner/standings) works
correctly — this is purely a visual/rendering issue.

What I've checked so far:
Confirmed SnowStormActivityState timer calculation in SnowStormAttributes.getActivityTimer() had a bug where expireTime was computed as stateTime + activityState.getTimeInMS(),
double-counting the duration already baked into stateTime. Fixed
this locally (compiled against my own server jar) but it did not
resolve the disappearing issue — the timing/duration of the
stun/invincibility flicker looked correct either way, and the
synchronized full-avatar disappearance persisted.
Given that all avatars vanish together at once, my current guess is
this might be related to the client periodically calling
REQUESTFULLGAMESTATUS (opcode 173) to resync, and however the client
redraws the object list from FULLGAMESTATUS might be clearing and
recreating avatar sprites, causing a visible blank frame.
Has anyone else run into this, or is there a known client-side
limitation with SnowStorm on the v14 client that causes this?
