Feature Request: Player UI

Love a lot of the simplicity and choices made for Arvio

One of the larger lacking features compared to Stremio and Nuvio is the player UI is missing some core features:

• subtitle interface has no options for adjusting timing sync (optionally others also have language groupings and in main settings show only your selected languages)
• subtitle sizing and offset from edge settings as well
• audio interface same thing no options for adjusting timing sync (optional others have increase or decrease db, idc personally for simpler UI as I’ve never encountered something so quiet or loud that you can’t just change tv volume)
• there isn’t an episode select, sometimes episodes are skipped or missed with trakt sync issues or anything really and you want to double check the full list (with thumbnail + ep title + description) without leaving playback (just wanted to note the source select however is one of the best I’ve seen)
• at least on fire stick the remote button rewind/ffwd/play/pause buttons don’t work with the player

Some of these are good QOL others are actually the difference between a source being unwatchable or not if the audio or subtitles are just a bit off, would greatly appreciate these additions!

Partial progress shipping in v1.9.8. This issue bundled five separate feature requests — some are done, some are in flight, some are still open. Leaving the issue open to track the remaining parts.

1. Fire TV remote buttons not working — FIXED in v1.9.8 ✅

Landed in #133 (merged to main). Only Key.MediaPlayPause / MediaPlay / MediaPause were handled, and only inside the subtitle menu branch — useless for normal Fire TV remote usage. Now handled at the top of the player key handler:

2. Subtitle sync / timing adjustment — TRACKED BY PR #108

Another contributor has an open PR (#108) for exactly this — a 5-step vertical subtitle offset with DataStore persistence. That PR is close to ready but currently has a rebase conflict after my recent merges. Once rebased it will add a setting under General for subtitle offset.

3. Audio sync / timing adjustment — Not yet

Nobody has picked this up yet. ExoPlayer supports AudioOffsetProvider but it's not trivial. Keeping this open.

4. In-player episode picker (without leaving playback) — Not yet

Would need a new overlay with an episode list fetched from the current show's TMDB season. ~150 LOC, a reasonable small feature. Keeping this open.

5. (Bonus, not in your original list) Your note about the player controls being too small on tablet — already shipped separately

That's issue #97, which shipped in v1.9.8 via #132. Bigger touch targets, centered layout, stronger gradient for bright backgrounds.

• Audio timing sync (part 3) if that's your top priority — worth its own focused report with the specific scenario (content type, how far off the audio is, which addons)
• In-player episode picker (part 4) if that's your top priority — would help to know whether you want all seasons or just current

Part 1 (Fire TV keys) is closed by this PR. I'm leaving the issue open as the tracking thread for parts 3 and 4 until they ship.
