The error Generation incomplete: the agent edited the workspace but did not call done(status="ok") comes from packages/core/src/agent.ts (around line 539). It means the model (Qwen 2.5 Coder 7B) made file edits but didn't call the required done() tool to end the turn — the pipeline expects a specific tool-use pattern that smaller models often struggle to follow reliably.

Why this happens:

• The agent design system requires the model to call done(path) after editing to signal completion. This is documented in AGENTS.md.
• 7B models may not consistently follow multi-step tool-use instructions, especially when managing tool calls across a full generation cycle.
• The error isn't a bug in the app — it's a model capability issue.

Workarounds you can try:

1. Use a larger or more instruction-following model — try Qwen 2.5 Coder 14B/32B or a non-coder model like Qwen 2.5 14B or Mixtral.
2. Check your Ollama settings — ensure the model is running with a context window of at least 16k tokens (set with NUM_CTX in Modelfile).
3. Simplify the prompt — a very short instruction like "a single slide with title and bullet points" may succeed where complex ones fail.
4. If you're using a custom provider config, verify the base URL and model ID in config.toml match exactly what Ollama reports (ollama list).

No code change is needed on our side — the system prompt already instructs the model to call done. The limitation is with the model's ability to follow multi-tool sequences.
