Pause/restart offset error

I was using 1.1.46 but had a need to pause the printing to insert some weights to my print. The head parked and when commanded to continue it printed offset to the front and left as in my test print. I loaded OpenCentauri to find it does the same. Elegoo advised me to return to 1.1.25 but I am reluctance because of bugs. I assume it would error the same on filament outage. Is anyone dealing with this issue?

After further testing, a 'slicer inserted' pause causes the head to cut the filament which is in the home position. It then displays the load filament function. It clearly thinks a pause is a filament change. Whilst pausing it manually from the display it travels straight to the bin and after sending the restore command from the display it restarts the print offset again. So an embedded pause is regarded as a filament change and a manual pause as a pause, but both resume in the wrong place.
