A work package without any content (i.e., without tasks) can have its own start and end dates. In this case, it should be possible to set these dates via the Properties view.
However, once a work package contains tasks, its start and end dates should become computed values based on its tasks:
- Work package start date = start date of the earliest task
- Work package end date = end date of the latest task
In this context, the work package start and end dates should be read-only in the Properties view and should no longer be modifiable through the project-level Gantt diagram.
