Hey, I just started working on this myself. Is this codebase working well?
I'm using a java autorouter, a pin placement optimizer (for GPIO's and unmapped pin headers), a placement and rotation optimizer, and then a compactifier. I start with a large canvas, get placement, pins, routes working and then compactify the board down.
I make boards on my cnc (typically too lazy to wait for package to arrive) so I've pushed it for single sided optimization and to limit 2nd side as much as possible, if you are a pro you likely are working on multilayer boards so maybe not a good match.
I'm wondering what research/papers you've fed your models.
