Hey Lemur community 👋

It's hard to believe how far Lemur has come since its early days. What started as an internal tool has grown into something much bigger, and that's entirely thanks to this community.

We're writing today with a bittersweet announcement. We've migrated our internal TLS certificate management to a different system, which means we're stepping back as active users of Lemur. After years of building, maintaining, and growing this project alongside all of you, the time has come for us to pass the torch to someone in the community who is actively using and invested in its future.

What this involves:

  • Triaging and responding to issues and PRs
  • Cutting releases
  • Maintaining CI/CD and dependency health
  • Setting project direction

What we'll do to help:

  • Transfer repo ownership (GitHub org) to a trusted new maintainer
  • Do a walkthrough of the codebase and architecture
  • Answer questions during a transition period

If this resonates with you, we'd love to hear from you. Drop a comment below, tell us who you are, how Lemur has been a part of your work, and what you'd want to do with it next. We'll reach out to discuss next steps. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to and used Lemur over the years.

We hope to see it thrive in new hands !
