The Prince still has his sword, even if he had beaten level 1 without obtaining it

Level 1 can be beaten without obtaining the sword and with no cheats or glitches, merely by luring the exit guard away from his post. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLHHMMqDyBs) Yet the Prince will still has his sword at the next level. This is a conceptional flaw in the original game. I think an optional fix should be introduced, which would not affect the level skip cheat, only the normal exiting from level 1.

This is not about "pretending". It is about optionally eliminating a conceptional flaw.

What's the big deal about the skip? I don't like doing level 1 all the time. I played it to death as a little kid because pop1 was too hard for me.
