We were previously in a position where ncx was attempting to explore DPUs that had not been factory reset from their previous tenants. This was on initial exploration so ncx had no credentials configured in vault for this dpu. By default it seems like ncx will only try to use the default openbmc dpu password and then fail.
I would like ncx to also make an attempt of authing with the configured site-wide-default (the one that it would update the password to) in addition to the preconfigured default openbmc password. In our case, that password would have been correct and site explorer would have been able to successfully explore that endpoint.
Feature Description
Site explorer makes at least one attempt to auth to BMCs with the factory default AND the configured site wide root password just in case we are reingesting used hardware.
