I use the iCloud sync for data. I lost a week's worth of notes as a result of this problem. I was entering a new note. Then I synced. At that time, I unknowingly had no cell connection. Immediately, all of my previous week's notes disappeared. Only the note I had been editing remained. I could not see the older notes either in the app or in iCloud. Once I was home, I checked on iCloud Drive on line, and it confirmed that I had lost a week's worth of notes. Fortunately, I was able to use iCloud's file restore functionality to get the immediately previous version of the mobileorg.org file. Then I recovered the week's worth of notes.
