Goal
Expand the verified compatibility matrix for UplinkWitness without making unsupported claims.
The generic core should be exercised on more real Linux hosts and network setups, especially configurations different from the maintainer's current Debian/ARM64 Raspberry Pi deployment.
Useful test targets
- Debian / Ubuntu releases on x86_64
- Raspberry Pi OS and other ARM64 hosts
- wired and wireless hosts
- gateways that answer ICMP
- gateways that intentionally drop ICMP while Internet/DNS/HTTP remain healthy
Validation
Please follow docs/TESTING.md and report:
- UplinkWitness version or commit
- Linux distribution/version
- CPU architecture
- interface type (Ethernet/Wi-Fi/virtual)
- router model if known
- generic or FRITZ-enhanced mode
- which checklist sections passed or failed
Verified results can then be added to docs/COMPATIBILITY.md.
This issue is intentionally about evidence and compatibility data, not adding new features.
