While I agree that this support would be greatly beneficial, I don't have any current plans to do this myself. If someone wants to attempt it, I'm definitely open to further discussion. At the very least, we need to segregate Web API 2 code and ASP.NET Core code, and extract the framework-agnostic code into a separate project.
