SMMMeasureApi doesn't provide a release and its build relies on internet access

To use SMMMeasureApi, we need to build it first.
Building it requires to be connected to the internet, which is impossible on any of our production networks.

The project shall offer a release of the SMMMeasureApi (maybe through CI ), or describe a step-by-step process on how to do an offline build.

As the build uses Maven, which requires an Internet access to correctly work by default, we had to do a workaround to be able to build the project in closed-LAN environments.

Basically, it's just a build on a clean VM which has an Internet access, then a copy of the dependencies to the closed network.

Security rules of our company were really complicating the process.

Here is the note I took on the process with all the commands, in case it is useful to anyone :

• Creation of a VM under CentOS 6.5 on an host with an internet access.
  • Installation of Maven using these instructions.
  • Fetching SMMMeasureApi sources
    • git clone https://github.com/ITEA3-Measure/SMMMeasureApi.git
  • Execution of Maven commands with an option to get all the artifacts used by the project (dependency:go-offline)
    • mvn clean dependency:go-offline compiler:compile
  • A local repository will be populated : ~/.m2/repository/
  • By default, Maven will fetch artifacts online ; the -o option forbids it to access to online repositories. Thus we can check that we got all the required artifacts by doing a rebuild through the command :
    • mvn -o clean dependency:go-offline compiler:compile.
  • All the dependencies are now in the ~/.m2 folder. Now we move the m2 folder to the production environment.
• On the production environment :
  • CHECK java -version : OK with "1.8.0_152".
  • Fetch the .m2 folder of the VM and put it in a convenient place.
  • Go to the SMMMeasureApi folder, and execute the command :
    • mvn -o -Dmaven.repo.local=/chemin/vers/m2/repository/ compiler:compile
    • There shall appear a BUILD SUCCESSFULL.
