Hide terminal / black screen on background when playing video

Is there a way to hide the terminal to get a black screen - hide the terminal when playing a video ?

i did not implement it on HPlayer2 directly, since it's very platform specific (HPlayer2 should run on any *nix platform), but it could be nice to detect RPi and add an overlay in that specific case.

In the meantime, to hide the terminal on RPi, there is various existing solutions like this one:

I will try this tomorrow, thanks ! Yeah, it could be a useful feature.

BTW, I noticed today that if you run in desktop mode, the screen blanking runs in the background of the player and the video (but this is only if you runs the desktop version of raspbian).
