I want to call this documenting the backend API, but I don't actually know if this is the correct terminology.
Basically, in the package documentation explicitly state that, minimally, each *Dist function takes one or two data frames, subsetted to the specific variable(s) needed for calculation, and returns a dist object or symmetric matrix.
