Mute button doesn't mute the microphone during a call

Describe the bug
The mute button doesn't mute the microphone when you're speaking with someone.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Call a contact
2. Press the mute button on the call screen
3. The other side can still hear your voice

Expected behavior
The mute button should switch off the microphone so the other side can't hear you.

• Model: Oppo A76
• OS: Android 13

Additional context
This bug isn't specific to the new Fossify phone app. The mute button also didn't work on the Simple Dialer app but I had nowhere to report the bug. Now I do, so a big thank you for forking this app.

Can anyone else confirm this issue? If yes, please write your phone model and OS version. I don't have this problem on OnePlus 8 Pro (Android 13).

Mute works on lineageos-18.1 / xperia 1ii / Phone v.1.11.1

The problem what I have is: the mute button on by default when I call someone, but it doesn't really mute; Until you hit it once to turn mute off, and hit one more time to turn mute on, and then it's mute for sure.

I am thinking was a UI problem?

it happen in OnePlus 11, as of today, the UI issue happen when I call out.

Wow, 2 years and STILL not fixed. Happening to me as well on OP13.

Call someone, call starts. Mute button is active, but people can hear when I talk.
