Hello,

Just a question about v0.4.0 :
Will we be forced to re-import all game versions into the stable 0.4 release after migrating from 0.3, or is there a solution planned? I have a lot of games and I'm wondering if I should migrate to the latest 0.4 RC or wait for a solution so I don't have to re-import everything.

There's a mass import tool that can import everything all at once.

This, however, doesn't cover any special configuration, and makes educated guesses about the platform and executable name, so there may be a few you have to import individually.

I check it actually but I'm confused since we can't chose the setup or starting binary/script, what is used by default and can we change it ? I have a strong feeling that I'm going to have to re-import everything manually, and it makes me dizzy just thinking about it, I have 1593 games, so that many versions to import. Thanks.

So when you import manually, you know how there are suggestion boxes for the setup/launch commands? It fill in the launch with the top suggestion from that.

For why you can't change it, the mass import tool was originally intended as a debug tool, but I realised it would be useful for the migration, so I polished it up and tacked it on. In my experience though, it's pretty decent at guessing the executable for most games.

The problem is that with so many games, it's difficult for me to test and be sure the result is satisfactory. I install some games with a setup program, others with a script that chains several installations (with DLC or patches), and still others are zip files launched via an executable within an archive that sometimes contains several files. The result would be too unpredictable.
Perhaps we could at least consider an inclusion/exclusion filter system? Furthermore, a similar system for the list of versions to import would also allow for a more efficient bulk import.
In any case, for now, I've rolled back to version 0.3 while waiting for a better migration solution.
