Question: Run a countdown across months?

Hi there,
I really like the calendar and am now thinking to turn it into a countdown calendar for an event sometime early next year.
However, the current way of setting dates in the Settings.json seems to only work with both start and end dates set within one month.

Any suggestion how one could adapt that?

That's a good point, a countdown across months is not yet supported.
I have to think how to implement this improvement. I don't see any easy workaround for now.
