Track & clean up tech debt from dev process

There's some tech debt sitting in main from the dev process, a mix of AI-generated code, stuff from figuring things out as we go, and general shortcuts. Not exactly sure how much is in there yet, so I’ll keep updating this issue as I spot things.

Plan:

• Start tagging cleanup commits with [Tech Debt]
• Slowly chip away at the mess
• Coordinate with upcoming changes from the repo owner (@Devasy23) to avoid conflicts

This issue will be the central place to track and clean things up over time.

Yes, @Devasy23 could you please enable Automatically delete head branches in repo settings so merged PR branches get cleaned up automatically?
I will start pruning the current branches that are merged (Bcoz it will require manual intervention)
