example of subscribe/listening

I would like to ask if you could also post an example of use for the subscribe/listening of channels, I'm trying to make it work without much success...

Just to clarify, here is my problem.
if I use red_con = Redis('redis_server') it connects with the redis server and I can read the variables I'm interested in, for example with: Value=red_con.get('variable').
I can subscribe to channels, for example the output of:
psub_out = red_con.psubscribe('channel_name')
is a 1x3 cell:
{'psubscribe'} {'channel_name'} {'1'}
where the last element of the cell is the number of subscriptions, that grows if I subscribe to an additional channel.
The problem is HOW do I actually listen to the channels in matlab? I could not find a function like new_message=red_con.listen() that would actually check if there are messages on the channel(s) I'm subscribed at and dump them in a matlab variable that I can actually use.
