Is it possible to change the name of keyboard layout?

Can I change the keyboard layout label from "EN-US" to simply "EN"? For Greek, the layout is displayed as "EL", so I'd like the language indicators to be consistent and use two-letter abbreviations for both.

I'm using Fedora with Niri, in case that helps.
