Installing new version

Hi Ecopy team!

Thank you for a wonderful package!

I am however having difficulties installing the newest version(0.1.2.3). I use pip. I've tried to upgrade to 0.1.2.3 and simply installing ecopy anew.
I would like to try the new features! :)

Hi,

Ecopy cannot be installed using pip unless you have (under MS-Windows) the Microsoft C++ development tools properly installed and configured on your system.

Hi My older version usually works, but now after desperately trying to install the new version, the old one does not seem to work anymore. I've tried reinstalling the old one with pip. Hi, again.

The problem seems to be with the 'comb' module which is no longer included in 'scipy.misc'. An immediate remedy might be to downgrade your version of SciPy (I am assuming you have the lastest version).

Thank God, it works now, Thank you very much. I'm doing my Master Thesis now, and I really use Ecopy a lot, I think it's great!

instead of downgrading scipy, you can do this workaround:

from scipy.special import comb
import scipy.misc
scipy.misc.comb = comb
import ecopy as ep
